Installation - Creating Install MediaThere are three ways to install ClarkConnect software
- Bootable CD
- USB key
- PXE-enabled network card
Bootable CD
A flash tutorial on creating a ClarkConnect CD is available here.
USB Key
Installing via a USB key is also possible. Only the first part of the install process actually runs off of the USB key. The majority of the ClarkConnect installation is done over the network. First, you need to download the USB image:
You should then use desktop tools to image your USB key with this file. Keep in mind, you are not copying the diskboot.img file, but imaging your USB key with it. For those familiar with the Linux command line environment, you can use the dd command.
PXE-enabled Network Card
Installing the system over PXE is straightforward. However, setting up your PXE environment is a lot more complicated. We only suggest this installation method for those who are already familiar with PXE. You can find more detailed documentation here
