DNS - Alias Records - Cname Records

Overview

CName records (Canonical Name records) act as aliases for hostnames. For instance, you can alias www.mydomain.com to www.myotherdomain.com. Please review the DNS Primer for more help on DNS records.

Activation

  • Login to your account
  • Click on DNS in the top navigation bar
  • Click on CName Records in the menu

Configuration

To add CName records to your account:

  • Specify a subdomain name (this can be blank)
  • Select the domain from the drop-down list
  • Specify the target domain for the given subdomain.domain combination
