Product Life Policy
|
It is important to keep the software on any computer system up-to-date.
Point Clark Networks has been providing software maintenance on our products for
over 5 years and will continue to maintain future products for years to come.
Software maintenance includes:
- Bug fixes
- Software enhancements
- Automatic updates
The ClarkConnect Enterprise Edition is maintained for at least 5 years after
the product release date (see adjacent table).
The ClarkConnect Community Edition is maintained for approximately 18 months after
the product release date (see adjacent table).

Product Upgrade Policy
For any purchased editions (including those bundled with Gateway
Services) a license includes upgrades for all minor releases.
For instance, a license purchased for 3.0 includes free upgrades to 3.1,
3.2, etc., but not 4.0. You can expect a major release about once
every 12 to 18 months.
Upgrades to the current major release will be priced at 40% to 65% of
the non-upgrade price. For instance, upgrading a system from 2.1
to 4.1 will cost 40-65% of the list price.
