Overview

Processes Information
Description Tool for viewing and managing processes running on the system.
Package Name cc-webconfig
Configuration Page System > System Administration > Processes

The system processes tool lets you view and manage processes running on the system. Among other uses, you can use this tool to diagnose potential system resource issues on busy ClarkConnect servers.

Purpose

In some circumstances, you may want to review how processes on your system are behaving. For example, you may want to:

  • Determine which process is using the most memory/RAM.
  • Determine which process is using most of the processor/CPU.
  • Determine which process uses the most resources by total time.
  • Kill unwanted processes.

Kill

Use this option with extreme caution! You can kill processes running on your system by following this procedure:

  • Click on the Kill button.

Before attempting this procedure, you should attempt to stop or restart the software via the Running Services page in the web-based configuration tool.
