What's New

The release candidate should be mostly bug free.  We always find a few outstanding issues as we approach the deadline, but no show-stoppers.  The WPAD automatic proxy detection feature was dropped -- issues with the DHCP server cropped up.

Web Access Control

Information on Web Access Control is available in the user guide.  To install this module, run:
apt-get update; apt-get install cc-squid-acl.

Mail Archive

Information on the Mail Archive feature is available in the user guide.  To install this module, run:
apt-get update; apt-get install cc-archive.

Asterisk

Integrating Asterisk will require some feedback from the user community.  The core of the problem is the architecture of the Zaptel Asterisk driver.  Some of the features for this driver can only be implemented at build time, so this makes it difficult to ship a ready-to-go Asterisk system.  To overcome this limitation, a decision needs to be made on which hardware and software (e.g. FreePBX) to support.  More information on this topic is here.

Known Issues

There are still a number of known issues, the most important are:

  • Flexshare FTP access may not work for all network interfaces.
  • Reported issues with Realtek network cards (unconfirmed, please provide any feedback that you have).
  • Content filter upgrade for phraselists and blacklists is not well tested.
  • Deleting a group still in use by the system may cause ugly warnings.
  • Firewall may require a restart ("Unable to commit" error)

Reporting Bugs

Please report bugs or feedback in the online forums or to contribs@clarkconnect.com.
