What's New

The beta #1 to beta #2 was focussed on fixing many of the outstanding issues.  Here are some comments on the new features in version 4.2.

Web Access Control

Information on Web Access Control is available in the user guide.  To install this module, run:
apt-get update; apt-get install cc-squid-acl.

Mail Archive

Information on the Mail Archive feature is available in the user guide.  To install this module, run:
apt-get update; apt-get install cc-archive.

Asterisk

Integrating Asterisk will require some feedback from the user community.  The core of the problem is the architecture of the Zaptel Asterisk driver.  Some of the features for this driver can only be implemented at build time, so this makes it difficult to ship a ready-to-go Asterisk system.  To overcome this limitation, a decision needs to be made on which hardware and software (e.g. FreePBX) to support.  More information on this topic along with a suggested Asterisk roadmap will be available during the beta period.

Known Issues

There are still a number of known issues, the most important are:

  • Some web elements in the web-based administration do not render properly
  • Form validation is incomplete

Squid Web Proxy -- To fix an issue in the Squid web proxy server configuration, run the following:
apt-get update; apt-get install squid
