announce the release of the IPlex IP PBX module

Vercom Systems, Inc. in partnership with Point Clark Networks is pleased to announce the public release of the IPlex IP PBX module Release Candidate 1, an Asterisk-based VoIP telephony solution, for all ClarkConnect versions 4.2 or higher.  Vercom Systems, Inc., based in Dayton, Ohio, develops and integrates its open source IPlex software for its partners, resellers and clients worldwide.  IPlex version 4.2.05 provides full integration with the ClarkConnect API, a redesigned user interface and feature enhancements that distinguish the product in the telephony marketplace.

The IPlex module is an affordable, easy to use, flexible and scalable IP PBX solution.  The features delivered include all the expected traditional phone system features along with a complete set of advanced features found in enterprise class phone systems.  Feature set highlights include: automated attendants, call recording, call center ACD capabilities, conference bridging, desktop faxing, and a graphical user interface for easy administration of the system.  The system supports the SIP protocol for handsets and as of this release handsets from Polycom, Cisco, Aastra, Grandstream, Counterpath and Linksys have been successfully deployed with the software.  For telephony interfaces, IPlex supports Analog, T1, E1, PRI, BRI, SIP and VoIP service providers for calling.  Interface cards from Digium, Rhino, and Sangoma have been successfully deployed with over 5 million calls processed to date.  Summarized below is a listing of some of the features available with the IPlex module.
